@Owlor she's getting so good at this! she actually spent the day today just drawing shoes, because she was frustrated at being bad at drawing shoes. I was like, wow but those are some *expressive* shoes! I can feel the drama, the pathos of the disembodied shoes. the thing that I always admired the most on artists, the ability to capture the life-lines, the exact set of details that convey character and energy—daughter has developed that skill over a lifetime of drawing, and I couldn't be more proud of her.

@elilla I definitely felt a lot of life in these drawings as well, it looks like a study of an actual cow-cowboy she happened to bump into on the prairie.
