There seems to be an epidemic of people who don't understand what part time bus lanes are. I was driving home, it gets a bit busy.. and the *entire* queue of traffic was not using the inactive bus lane.
So I just sailed past them all..
Are you not taught this stuff in driving lessons any more?

@tony Drivers' inability to correctly read road signs has been a problem since time immemorial.
Although round here there actually aren't any part-time bus lanes

Though it can't be an inability to read a bus symbol on a (circular) blue sign because people quite happily drive through bus gates and get fined for it...

@ghawkins Bus lanes round here are generally only active during rush hour and sometimes only the evening one (4-7).
And even though this is common even local drivers don't seem to get it.
