@tod Some of these questions are really fun; this one - *you* always take shoes off going into someone's home. I can hear my grandmother's voice just thinking about it - and the implied threat of the broom.
I'm *very* judgy about it.

As a French speaking gal, a lot of questions regarding anglo-canadian expressions don't apply to us, unfortunately. Canada is a big and diverse country ! -

@WTL @tod Ha, that one and "How many hockey sticks are currently in or around your home?" made me laugh because I have two and have never played hockey. Neither my kids have ever played hockey. I have no idea where these two hockey sticks even came from.
I think maybe a government agent installed them, maybe back around the time they gave out free Canadian flags.
