I had my credit card blocked from donating to campaigns listed on gazaverified.org
Some people came out to point to me that many campaigns on the site appear AI generated.
Now. I of course don’t expect there to be NO scammers on the list. And I can imagine Israel would do it’s best to mark legit campaigns as scammers through banking systems.
But what do you have to say on this? You run the list, am I correct?

Anyone who is verified was talked to over video by either myself or @casey and either @joynewacc, @aseelfromgz or @rania40.
None of the accounts that have been verified are AI generated.
I’ve noticed a few accounts waiting for verification that have AI-generated profile photos and we’re going to talk to them about this as it isn’t something we will be verifying.
Regarding your credit card getting blocked, I would talk to your credit card company about that as it’s odd for them to block payments to GoFundMe, Chuffed, or PayPal which are the only three fundraising platforms we’ve seen used.

@gimulnautti @aral @casey @joynewacc @aseelfromgz @fabio I see this as the beginning of diminishing the role of Westerners who help by donating or setting up donation campaigns for the people of Gaza, even those who are well-known. Why all this siege and starvation of innocent people, and why are they being suffocated in every way?

We've had campaigns temporarily suspended for verification, bank accounts of campaign managers suspended for transferring funds directly to Palestinian bank accounts, but never the credit card of someone who donates to a legit campaign on GFM or Chuffed. Whether those campaigns appear "AI generated" or not should be up to the fundraising platforms to decide, not a bank.
Please do appeal the decision, and if you need any evidence that some specific accounts are legit feel free to poke me and Aral.
If the bank refuses to collaborate and you're a EU citizen please consider escalating this too https://commission.europa.eu/topics/consumers/consumer-rights-and-complaints_en if even after providing evidence of genuinity they keep harassing those who support Gaza it's worth to bring it up to the EU institutions and try to force an open statement o7t of them.
