      @regendans I didn't see anything but very basic telemetry. Wasn't creepy at all.

        @erik @regendans yeh, me either. Most of it is important info for webmasters (I know, an old term), developers, and infrastructure engineers, to know

          @erik Right👌Perhaps my choice of words was inspired by this one : https://abrahamjuliot.github.io/creepjs I think it is good that more people learn about these kind of things.

            @regendans That's still normal telemetry. I used to work in privacy compliance (GDPR, CPRA, etc) for the largest internet service provider in the USA. It would curl your toes to know how much they know about you, and how many third-parties are sharing that data in an interconnected way. I could see what corner you were standing on even if you had location data turned off.

                @erik @regendans

                What I saw was a *quite big amount of rather specific* basic telemetry.

                You may be anonymous in the sense that the website may not know your name, but it makes you pretty recognizable, which can be abused e.g. to present you with a higher booking price if you're a returning visitor.

                    @regendans @michaelgraaf Likely the most horrifying read so far today. Thanks for sharing - educational, to say the least.

                      @regendans Nice. It has 3 bits of information from me. Since I use Freedom Internet they get the wrong IP location, since I set my timezone to UTC they get the wrong Timezone. They Firefox on Linux because I'm happy to share that.
