IC 418: The Spirograph #Nebula
The Spirograph Nebula (IC 418) displays unexplained patterns, possibly due to its central star's erratic winds. Once like our Sun, it evolved into a red giant and is now shedding its outer layers, leaving a core that will become a white dwarf. This Hubble image captures the nebula's odd texture.
