Just don't be under any illusion that you will have "escaped" fascism. If you come here, it will only be a strategic retreat. The fight continues on different ground, because fascism is very much a threat here as well.

Parallel and entwined with that threat, as well, are an ongoing domestic cost of living crisis, austerity crisis, and looming foreign aggression. Glad to have yous if you do come though.

@CedarTea thanks; my grandfather's family ran a general store somewhere in Alberta in the early 20th century. I'll see what documentation I can dig up. It would be good to have that in our pocket; we lost large chunks of our family because they couldn't/didn't leave early enough last time around.
