The new Pixelfed redesign will bring several improvements to core features, but at the same time, we will be deprecating some features that are rarely used.

Some of those affected features may return later this year.

We need to focus on improving the features that people love and continue using, I hope you understand.

- Parental Controls*
- Polls

@ariadne AutoSpam is our bayesian analysis (spam/ham) system but it isn't very scalable and resulted in more false positives that affected UX and retention, so it's going to be redesigned to better handle spam detection by using a more simple approach (keyword matching)

@dansup Pixelfed has support for groups? Where/how? I don't see it in 0.12.7. Are some of these features unused because people just don't know about them?

@dansup a feature I’d really like to see in Pixelfed is the ability to search the photos I’ve put on Pixelfed. Pixelfed is not only for new photos. I often find a good photo in my library and wonder if I’ve put it on Pixelfed
