How many nicknames or things have friends or family called you in your life... I'm realizing that I guess I've had like 7 or 8 at least, an I prefer really any of them to my actual full name.

I’m a big fan of nicknames (eg: @koalie has multiple including “Coco”).

I tend to use pet names liberally too. I use various sweet names for my nieces. I recall when she was very young called my one niece something like “honey” and she took my face in her hands and said very seriously: “you call ME pumpkin”

I like pretty much everything more than my own first and last name together, literally :).

@bkardell I moved so much as a kid that really only two that stuck for any period of time. There were so many Kevins in my classes, and I was usually added mid-year that I used my initials. So, utilitarian. The other one was "Charmin" which someone "gifted" me at the beginning of 7th grade and it stuck all year.

@bkardell Well, you can't tell people that you don't like your name & prefer to be called by nicknames & then not tell us which name you'd prefer we called you!

So I guess it's just going to be bkardell, pronounced like Bacardi...
