Q2: @MakersHour
Do you push yourself to learn something new from what you create? Or do you hone the skills and knowledge you already have? Tell us the how and why in either case.A2: I do try to learn something new, 3D printing, TIG welding, miniature making, for example. But mostly I am honing existing skills but in different media. It is often small incremental changes, with the occasional huge leap.
I do just want to know how to do EVERYTHING, and so I learn, often from old books.
A recent purchase is ‘The Welding Of Cast Iron By The Oxy-Acetylene Process’ by L. Tibbenham M.I.Mech.E, published in 1945. I don’t even have any oxy-acetylene kit. -
