@ashok Fortunately never deliberately hit, but the fear frequently keeps me on the quieter but stupidly steep roads for daycare pickups usually. I gotta be struggling to choose the longer, less steep, but more busy roads.

I went with “No”, and had an uneventful ride in.
The other route is barely quieter, and I’m reasonably bloody minded.
I’m not above saying a suitable prayer before setting off, though.
