Today is National Library Workers Day. The library where I work has a knitters group that meets on Monday. I've never been interested in learning to knit, until now.

Because of rules about non-profit status in the US and ALA's nervousness about it, advocating for *workers* is done by a separate, linked, organization called ALA-APA.

This organization has been around for over two decades but ebbs and flows in its impact. It's been ebbing lately which is too bad, library work can be challenging and poorly paid, even as people are generally very supportive of libraries and their workers.

@jessamyn you could make a button up variant and it'd be a cardigan catalog

@jessamyn I feel like I got all the way through library school without ALA-APA being mentioned once, but IDK if that’s a cause or just a symptom

@joshmillard @jessamyn You could make a maternity version and fill in the due date.
