    Bari Weiss is shutting down CBS News Radio, a nearly 100-yr-old institution. What strikes me most about the letter to employees is the last line:

    “Thank you for all your dedication and for the compassion you show one another as we move forward”

    Who is 'we' in that sentence? It's certainly not the people who just lost their jobs. Is she really saying, "Thank you all for taking care of each other while we move on without you"?

    How fucking callous do you have to be?

      @kims I read it as someone with very poor management skills, who read some big words in a book once, and is parroting them here, with no understanding whatsoever of what they mean. It's meaningless drivel. But not unexpected from her.

        @kims
        You should honor those American journalists by using “but both sides” language to normalize what Bari Weiss is doing.

        That is how that “journalists” help make the current state of affairs possible in the first place

          @kims@mas.to that reminds me of the meeting where I was told I was "being laid off", at Microsoft, and they told me to "take the rest of the day off"

          ... as opposed to, what, exactly??
