British Columbia intends to legislate this week to cancel DST change in October and remain DST forever going forward. This ~7 months is far too short notice and so some people's electronic devices are sure to show the wrong time come the usual transition time in October.
Additionally, some people will have their devices set to America/Los_Angeles instead of America/Vancouver, as these zones have been the same for a long time,. but not after October!
