Multiple oil countries have declared force majeure, due to the ongoing Middle East conflict. Force majeure is a contract term meaning “we cannot fulfill our contract due to events beyond our control”.

QatarEnergy declared force majeure on liquefied natural gas exports after strikes damaged key facilities.

Kuwait Petroleum Corporation declared force majeure on crude #oil and refined product exports, citing threats to maritime safety and a near-total blockage of shipping routes.

Bahrain's Bapco Energies invoked force majeure after an attack set its only refinery, the Sitra facility, ablaze, disrupting group operations and exports.

Iraq has curbed crude output and halted exports, with production dropping significantly due to logistics constraints and pipeline closures.

UAE has not declared force majeure but reported disruptions, including a fire at Fujairah’s oil storage terminal and reduced tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
