First thing I notice is how bad some of the sound mixing/recording is.. Characters far from the camera "sound" too far and echo-ey.

First thing I notice is how bad some of the sound mixing/recording is.. Characters far from the camera "sound" too far and echo-ey.
But the sound design is immediately iconic. The intro theme, warp effect, doors opening, the red alert and shields up sounds... Instantly transported to childhood watching this show with my parents.

And 3 minutes and 53 seconds before Troi starts on about "sensing" something. The Roddenberry is certainly strong in the early seasons.
