@NicksWorld @pawpower My advice, get used to it and try really hard to get yourself a better attitude about it. I hate meetings as much as you do, but for now, they're here to stay.

@Bruce @pawpower It's easy to turn it on when I need to. Really, its not something I can't handle with a whole lot of mental effert.

@pawpower @pixelate @NicksWorld Oh if I could I would get a puppy. But 5 dogs would be way too much!

@baxaphobia @pawpower @pixelate @NicksWorld Ds wants a puppy. 3 dogs in a 2 bdrm apartment? No way! 2 retrievers is going to be handful enough.

@lynessence @baxaphobia @pawpower @NicksWorld It's okay, you can make 2 bedrooms for the 50 or more puppies, and one for the people.

@NicksWorld Yes, the way that many of my students are treated in IEP meetings makes my skin crawl. Teachers and parents talking about the student not to them, and if I need to say negative things about a student, I try to frame it as diplomatically and as kindly as possible, and not as a moral failing, but as a skill that we need to work on. Then I say a lot of good things because I will never forget how it felt to be a student and one of those. Like I was worthless and never going to amount to anything but a bunch of mistakes and unachieved goals. I would leave and honestly wish that I were dead for days afterward.

@pawpower @NicksWorld I know I'm in another country, so different education system and all that, but it's interesting to me that blind students in the US have IEP's. I never had an IEP when I was in public school. I don't know any blind students now, so I don't know if they have them. But I have heard this sort of thing from other people I know who advocate for blind students in the US during IEP meetings. It's disgraceful that these harmful attitudes persist in 2026.

@pawpower Nobody seemed to care. I had my speech off so it didn't really matter, if anything, it could have looked like me taking notes but only I know it wasn't. I actually hate taking notes, tried it on many occasions and I just couldn't do it, not to mention I would end up forgetting to read them after, except during my real estate course for some reason, of course, i only had a few days to study for the class test so I am guessing that's why I put in the brain power I did.

@NicksWorld @pawpower If you're looking for an app to take notes for you during a meeting, try Granola AI. I have been using it for months at work and it is amazing! It is available on iOS, and I believe they do now have a Windows app. I use it on Mac and iOS, it is accessible on both but I don't know what it's like on Windows.

@pixelate @baxaphobia @pawpower @NicksWorld Cool, every night will be like a giant sleepover! I'll just get a bunch of beanbags chairs and sleeping bags, and I'll set up a big screen TV in the people room with my Sonos sound system. It'll be epic!!!!

@lynessence @NicksWorld Oh cool I will definitely check this out. Taking notes while also paying attention to my interpreter is basically impossible.
