“Vorrei rivivere la serata più triste. Avevo 17 anni e stavo per lasciare Chateauroux per la Juventus“. A parlare è Ange–Yoan Bonny, attaccante 23enne dell’Inter, arrivato dal Parma nel corso dell’estate 2025. Il percorso italiano di Bonny è noto a tutti: prima al Parma – comprese le tre annate in Serie B – poi all’Inter dopo un’ottima stagione in Serie A proprio con Cristian Chivu. Ma la sua carriera italiana sarebbe potuta essere differente. Non all’Inter, ma alla Juventus, nel 2020. A raccontarlo è stato proprio Bonny nel corso di un’intervista a L’Équipe: “Potevo andare alla Juve. Stavo per firmare. Ma durante le visite i dottori hanno scoperto un problema: secondo loro giocare a calcio sarebbe stato complicato. Sono passato dal trasferirmi alla Juventus al niente. Stavo male e i miei amici stavano male quanto me: ho capito su chi potevo contare“, ha raccontato Bonny.
Poi però è rimasto alla Chateuroux, in Ligue 2, prima di essere scoperto dal Parma nel 2021, a 18 anni. Tre anni di Serie B e poi l’unica stagione in Serie A con la maglia dei ducali, dove ha segnato 6 gol, attirando su di sé l’attenzione di diversi club. Ad avere la meglio è stata l’Inter: “Quando ho firmato per l’Inter l’ho annunciato a tutti nello stesso parcheggio dove ci trovavamo e dove diedi loro anche quella brutta notizia“. Un passato che sarebbe potuto essere alla Juventus, un presente in nerazzurro. Bonny è anche un tifoso dell’Inter, come dimostra una foto da bambino postata sui social negli scorsi mesi: “La mia prima maglia fu quella dell’Inter, perché c’era Samuel Eto’o”.

Bonny’s Italian journey is known to all: first at Parma – including the three years in Serie B – then at Inter after a great season in Serie A with Cristian Chivu. But his Italian career could have been different. Not at Inter, but at Juventus, in 2020. He told this himself in an interview with L’Équipe: “I could have gone to Juve. I was about to sign. But during the medical examinations, doctors discovered a problem: they thought playing football would be difficult. I went from transferring to Juventus out of nowhere. I was feeling unwell, and my friends were feeling unwell as much as I was: I realized who I could count on,” Bonny recounted.
Then he remained at Chateauroux, in Ligue 2, before being discovered by Parma in 2021, at 18 years old. Three years of Serie B and then the only season in Serie A with the colors of the dukes, where he scored 6 goals, attracting the attention of several clubs. Inter ended up winning out: “When I signed for Inter, I announced it to everyone in the same parking lot where we met and where I also gave them that bad news.” A past that could have been at Juventus, a present in black and blue. Bonny is also an Inter fan, as demonstrated by a childhood photo posted on social media in recent months: “My first jersey was Inter’s, because there was Samuel Eto’o.”
