    These books are over 20 years old. Obviously much has changed since they were released but I still hang onto them since many of the concepts are still relevant.

    On a side note: I'd probably find some masochist level of joy running these ancient OSes as daily drivers. 🤣

      @peteorrall i'm fairly sure i have a copy of Stevens' UNP somewhere, the first edition to include IPv6. the appendix explains how to configure it on common operating systems like IRIX and HP-UX. also, it doesn't use 3ffe::/16 because it predates the 6bone switching to the new prefix...

      but, as far as i know, basically everything in the book is still correct and current. i think it even covers kqueue and /dev/poll. possibly no Netlink...
