There's something I like about the Fediverse—and, at least in theory, about any social network that is correctly referred to as "decentralized"—and this is one of main reasons why I've stuck around for as long as I have here. That is, you will never have a community here that revolves around you personally, no matter how popular you become here. You will find that impossible on a technical level, and that is at least somewhat by design. If you stick around long enough to have amassed a considerable number of followers, then by that point, you will have already realized that the Fediverse does not revolve around you and that it never will. So, by demonstration, you are okay with that. This is why self proclaimed and so-called influencers are few and far between here.
