I didn’t just need a document. I was trying to build a partnership with this person. I can’t do what I’m trying to do alone and I needed someone to share a certain space with me, listen to my thoughts, call me on my bullshit, offer alternatives: be a trusted confidant. I already struggle with trust issues. The last thing I need is some sycophantic psy op out of Silicon Valley licking my ass.
