@GrapheneOS I've been using GrapheneOS for over a year now, and I'm throughly satisfied with it.

However I have serious concerns about the way the Motorola partnership announcement is being handled so far.

Do you plan on addressing the concerns raised by forum users about the scope of this partnership, whether hardware audits will be performed, and how the GrapheneOS Foundation can assure its users that Motorola is acting with good intentions?

@libreovergratis If people don't trust hardware from Motorola they can stick with Pixels. That's the beauty of having multiple lines of devices meeting our requirements.

People can and will make claims any major OEM is untrustworthy for all kinds of reasons including the countries where they're based whether it's the US, China or an EU country. Many people would be upset if we partnered with a company in the EU due to things like Chat Control.

We're sure people can live with having a choice.

@GrapheneOS I absolutely appreciate having the choice, and understand that this is a big step forward for OSS and secure mobile devices.
I also understand there are probably some things that cannot be publicly discussed yet.

I just hope you can understand why your userbase is weary of any corporate partnership and will make efforts to be transparent when possible.

@libreovergratis @GrapheneOS Yes of course. It's worth noting that this partnership "only" entails the mutual interest in bringing secure hardware onto the market, i.e. we remain an independent entity and carry on as usual.
