Thus, President Trump essentially controls the commission. If so, is it your opinion such a deduction is allowed under federal income tax laws? 10. Who are the gov attys who negotiated the settlement? Please provide their names and titles.

They are going on record. If they lie to congress that can expose them to legal liability. If the administration changes this can come back to bite them. It's a long game.

@prism @mastodonmigration they seem to have already noticed that the blatantly unconstitutional act by the guy who keeps saying he wants to do unconstitutional things is unconstitutional, unfortunately what they don't seem to have yet found is a spine.
Unconvinced an inquiry is going to help them with that.
