Reminds me of a conversation I had with someone from (IIRC) Boston USA, who observed the he and I pronounced “Interesting problem” with the same number of syllables, but not the same in each word. I said “Int’resting problem” whereas he said “Inneresting praalm” -

@SquirrelwithaninvisibleW I used to try to say par-leeah-ment instead of par-le-ment. Used to hear that back in the day. But my dictionary says par-le-ment is right.
