> The person who built the robots is saying she quit because there are no guardrails on who they kill.
This is the same company that won't let ChatGPT say a swear word.
They put safety filters on your prompts but none on their kill chain.

@dbattistella I oftentimes say again and again that we live in a cyberpunk dystopia that we have literally imagined weaved and followed the road map, but I remember distinctly of... Square Enix, Deus Ex ReBoot, where I believe it is human revolution, the first iteration, where literally the opening level is walking the US military officials through a AI and robotics company. Showing them all the ways that they could effectively kill others without ever risking an American life. And at the end of that introduction, a terrorist group attacks with the same automatics that came from that company.

@EllisEclipse0750 @dbattistella
Yep⦠this and several of the billionaire techbros being full on track to become Ted Faro.
Horizon timeline completely checks out: Hot Zone crisis, autonomous weapons systems, etc.
Let's just hope, that if clawback happens (fingers crossed on that one), they stop there and don't put biomatter conversion on their combat robot platforms.

@EllisEclipse0750 Yes, most artists and creators have a great understanding of the deep lack of imagination on the part of the military class.
