Finally upgrading my 2017 vintage office workstation. Got another round of eBay and dumpster dived parts in so out with the old and in with the new.

This 2080 Ti probably has plenty of life left in it. I'll keep it but haven't decided where I'll rehome it yet.

The Intel X520-DA2 10G nic wasn't being used anyway and I don't have much 10G stuff still in service. I'll be rehoming it along with its siblings.

The XL710 40G NIC was in use until an hour ago but I'm swapping it out for a 100G capable Mellanox. I have plenty of machines that could benefit from a 40g nic so definitely keeping it.

@azonenberg Loved those blower style cards. Pumped the hot air right out of the case, instead of recirculating it!

192GB of DDR4 2666 RDIMMs. The new CPU is 8 channel memory not 6 and the newer memory is faster (3200).

But in today's memory market I'm definitely keeping this. Probably moving it to the storage cluster nodes as additional cache, they only have 48GB each as of now

Super micro X11DAi-N mobo with dual Xeon 6144s. These were like $3K CPUs (each) back in 2017.

Some friends will definitely put this to good use.

@azonenberg I'm still running two of those. What would be cool to have would be OSS BMC software for them.
