A couple of months ago Trump guessed people in the rooms shoe size. They pretended he guessed right.
Then he bought them shoes as presents.
Now Marco Rubio is out here like a clown walking around with shoes that are too big for him.
Like Boots DeSantis, Marco Rubio has always walked around in shoes too big for him.

@selzero It's not funny. It's just stupid. It's stuff like this that people have made up about Trump for 10 years, in order to make him, what seem worse than he actually is?
Trump is really, really bad, and silly, and hilariously stupid. You don't need to make stuff up.@simon_ashdown@mastodon.social @selzero@syzito.xyz blocked. What A Fu-kin’ Loser. WAFL.

@selzero Great Scott. What is it about that man that nobody around him is prepared to tell him he's wrong?
Totally unrelated... you know, *totally* unrelated... the main villain in my third book is going to be an unstable warmongering idiot who's convinced he's always right. I'm not at all sure why that post reminded me...

@selzero It shows how these people who counts as the most powerful on the planet have to cope with any tantrum from a imature leader up to the point they fear to make him angry.
It is a test of loyalty. If they can’t choose what to wear and even their feet size is decided by the leader, how are they supposed to make a important decison ?
In totalitarianism fashion, it means that reality and common sense have to bow to Trump’s will. They to obey more than is orders but his will.

@selzero https://english.elpais.com/international/2026-03-12/trump-is-obsessed-by-shoes-made-by-a-company-that-sued-him-over-tariffs.html it makes me think of my nonno. when my grandfather first started showing signs of dementia, he would go to the grocery store and get baccala (dried cod). He stored them all over the house, hiding them in places. after he passed, we found baccala for years thereafter. (/2)

@selzero when I read this, that’s immediately what I thought: "The shoes are reasonably priced ($145) and the president buys them constantly. He also has a penchant for giving them away as gifts, according to The Wall Street Journal.”
I wonder if some of them have received shoes more than once because he forgot? 2/2

@selzero They couldn't tell supreme leader that he was wrong about their shoe size, and they couldn't not wear the ill fitting shoes. There is now zero doubt they are yes men.
