Gorgeous raptor at Acalanes Ridge Open Space (Lafayette, CA) yesterday. I think it's a red-tailed hawk. Any birders confirm?

Hawks are tough sometimes -- the morphs vary so widely!

I think it's a red tail, maybe a light morph? Doesn't have the checkered chest pattern I expect here on the East Coast. Maybe a regional thing
