AGI - Mentre la guerra in Iran si avvicina alle due settimane, il presidente iraniano Masoud Pezeshkian ha elencato tre condizioni per mettere fine alle ostilità. Dopo colloqui con i leader di Russia e Pakistan, Pezeshkian ha riferito ieri sera che la guerra potrà chiudersi solo: con il riconoscimento dei "diritti legittimi dell'Iran", con riferimento probabilmente all'arricchimento dell'uranio; il "pagamento delle riparazioni di guerra" e "solide garanzie internazionali contro aggressioni future".
L'emittente Sky News rileva come un'anomalia il fatto che a parlare di guerra e pace sia il presidente e non la nuova Guida Suprema dell'Iran Mojtaba Khamenei.
Il contrasto con le richieste USA
Le condizioni della Repubblica islamica contrastano con le richieste di pace formulate dal presidente Usa, Donald Trump, che in precedenza ha dichiarato che i combattimenti sarebbero terminati solo in caso di "resa incondizionata" dell'Iran.
Trump, allo stesso tempo, ha anche detto che la guerra "finirà presto" e che i suoi obiettivi sono stati raggiunti. La Casa Bianca aveva precedentemente indicato che questi obiettivi erano: distruzione dei missili iraniani e dell'industria missilistica; eliminazione della minaccia rappresentata dai proxy iraniani nella regione; impedire all'Iran di ottenere armi nucleari.

AGI - As the war in Iran nears its second week, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has listed three conditions to end the hostilities. Following talks with the leaders of Russia and Pakistan, Pezeshkian reported last night that the war can only end: with the recognition of the “legitimate rights of Iran,” likely referring to uranium enrichment; with “payment for war reparations” and “robust international guarantees against future aggression.”

Sky News notes as an anomaly that the president is speaking of war and peace, and not the new Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei.

The contrast with US demands

The conditions of the Islamic Republic contrast with the calls for peace made by US President Donald Trump, who previously stated that fighting would only end in case of the “unconditional surrender” of Iran.

Trump, at the same time, also said that the war “will end soon” and that his objectives have been achieved. The White House had previously indicated that these objectives were: the destruction of Iranian missiles and the missile industry; the elimination of the threat posed by Iranian proxies in the region; and preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
