@mroach @carnage4life Out of power, seeking a political comeback and some light political revenge. She’s been on a rehab tour for a while now. She very much got us to this point and was a key figure in that.
So, sure, nice tweets. I don’t personally buy it, but even if they’re genuine, that ship has sailed. I’m not forgetting who this woman is. -
@nilace @carnage4life I think they kinda all knew it was _possible_ but they're pot-comitted to institutionalized racism and this doesn't pursue that agenda directly, so objecting to it makes them sound like reasonable people.

@nilace @carnage4life At this point given a) how well the war has gone so far and b) how incoherent the Executive's strategy has been (if you can even call it that) throughout, I am firmly convinced that the choice to go to war was yet another impulsive Trump attempt to seize the national narrative.
I think you're ascribing to this government a great deal more cunning and foresight than is in evidence from its time in office. Trump is a senile narcissist surrounded by half-wit sycophants who only tell him what he wants to hear while _also_ constantly tripping over their own dicks as the worst versions of themselves because they also live in a bubble that says most Americans are as venal and terrible as they are.

@nilace In the US it's gotten significantly worse since the Citizens United decision (which was IMO _technically_ correct, but still a fucking awful idea.)
There has been a growing groundswell of antitrust and antimonopoly populism across the political spectrum, although right-wing populism often gets co-opted by right-wing nationalism, and left-wing populists are often crowded out by neoliberals.
