@masek I had this situation as well and tried to fight the spam with the help of Amazons support. They denied sending the messages and I ended up with a deactivated account which required some identity proof.
I disabled the SMS notifications altogether and I’m happy now. If you’ll want that too: this doesn’t work with 2FA enabled. It must be deactivated before you can remove the phone number.
In the end someone guessed/used my phone number and tried a password recovery. It was always a valid Amazon page and if you’ll deny all the requests your account will also be deactivated. I’m certainly not happy with this
