I understand why Americans don’t protest in very obvious ways, and won’t go on general strike: Their healthcare is tied to their job, their pensions are tied to the stockmarket.

I understand why Americans don’t protest in very obvious ways, and won’t go on general strike: Their healthcare is tied to their job, their pensions are tied to the stockmarket.
They have been trapped by a system that de-incentivises resistance in ways that are nonviolent.
It is a most brilliant trap for pacifying a population.
