@randahl The Chinese new year of the firehorse has just begun and Randahl is already in a very positive mood.
Crossing fingers.

I did not write about Erdogan, because unfortunately Turkey will not have elections until 2028.
Are you seeing any other signs, Erdogan could lose Turkey this year?
-
Bonus if Putin looses Russia too
@alienghic @randahl That's implied. Russia's economy will begin a rapid collapse come summer, and the Putler government will follow

@alienghic @randahl putler has functionally lost his war of aggression now, any moves russia makes now are motivated by desperation.

Did he really complain? I'd rather call it rational pessimism, which may not be worse than naive optimism.
"How the heck did the world get so screwed?"
We let power concentrate... again. We remained silent when we should have spoken out. We all shaped this world by our individual choices.

The first and most important factor to civil disobedience are large numbers. Only if we are many, we will prevail. The faster we unite, the easier it will be.

@benroyce I saw both. I conceive both strategies as a conservation of individual sanity, which is a general human affliction. I prefer not to not judge over individual inner conflicts. Life is quite difficult to get a sense of. Was and is for me at least.
All I am interested in is a realistic strategy on how to shape the world so we all are able to live more and suffer less.
You must remember that no one lives a life free from pain and suffering. (Sophocles)

We're drowning in cowardly spineless cynicism
I fucking despise cynics
Useless fucking whiners
The realistic strategy you seek includes telling these pathetic assholes to shut the fuck up
They have some issues in their lives? Ok. Understandable. How does that give them the right to run their whiny fucking mouths on our serious world problems

@benroyce I deeply commiserate with your anger and the thrive that arises with it. As for many, your motivation is justified. Yet we need to join forces, not divide over inner conflicts.

@randahl I am hoping that the Hungarians will vote him out, I have a memory of our (Luxembourgish) Premier, Juncker in the '90's on meeting him in Brussels, rubbing Orban's head and calling him "our wannabe dictator". As far as I can follow, Putin has lost, and it is beginning to crumble in Russia too, we can learn a lot from the Ukrainians. I have a deep respect for their will and learning power. Let us hope the US rights the situation with votes from more people (also keeping the ballots safe)

@Amorpheus and likewise, that is a noble sentiment. except for the unfortunate detail that all cynics do is whine. there is no force to join because they don't represent a force. they need to be kicked in the ass to make them into a force
