@RxBrad what would be your five sectors to invest in? mine may include 5g and cyber security, biotech, quantum but will they outperform nvidia/supermicro or the coming ai ipo rounds. i think most people have to focus on long term plays but you can trade on news and momentum, use some finance tools like rsi/macd, there are some great trading sims based on nearly real time actual data - i have to do that again for a month or two, it is play money but you can still learn a lot - there is a lot of inside info #top projected cagr #new faang #diy index fund #modern baseball #dividends #debut #startups #arb #ai ragtime reports #openbb

@gary_alderson @RxBrad You assume most people have to focus on long-term plays, but the list of sectors you’re targeting relies heavily on timing news and momentum.

@gary_alderson @RxBrad Fair point-Cramer’s definitely not the model. I’d just say high CAGR sectors still need solid entry timing, or the index often wins anyway.

@hannaB @RxBrad entry timing is not needed given historical averages over the last decade - 15% for the nasdaq, for over achieving sectors the average is more than that but you still have to be careful, most day traders lose money, they are playing against robots; investing in secular gainers outweighs timing concerns since most plays are longer term
