Would love to see more projects, especially privacy oriented one, to migrate away from github to platforms like https://codeberg.org/ The repos migration is really smooth, the only downside I see at the moment is migrating the userbase.

@gabriele I get it and like codebergs philosophy.
But GitHub has things Codeberg just doesn't yet. Discovery, Sponsors, integrations, a mobile app.
It also doesn't feel mature enough for professional work to me.
There's a catch with sponsors too, devs moving away from GitHub might see fewer of them and that hurts project sustainability.
Something like Go or the Linux kernel won't move without a good reason. I think smaller privacy focused projects go first and big ones follow if Codeberg keeps improving. The tooling gap is still pretty wide though.

@watchfulcitizen I get that Codeberg still misses "big picture" features, but I think that as more project migrate there more feature of this kind maybe added. OR maybe not, I don't know
