What's a good app for finding bike routes specifically around Metro Vancouver?
e.g. Apple Maps gave garbage directions from New West to PoCo. Google Maps did a decent job.
However, Google maps gave terrible directions around Mount Pleasant area. (told me to go along 12th instead of 10th for some dumb reason)I only really use Google Maps when I have to, but it’s also time to switch away from Apple maps.
The main need is bike-friendly mapping system.

@leroy I don’t bike but take a look at @CoMaps. It uses map data from OpenStreetMaps.
You have to download map data for the regions you are interested in, which means it will also work offline without Wifi or a cell connection.
I don’t know how well it routes for cyclists, but take a look. You could always provide feedback to the developers for improvements.

@YurkshireLad @leroy @CoMaps Was about to recommend the same thing. CoMaps also lets you do bike routing.

@adam @YurkshireLad @CoMaps I think all the non proprietary ones are pulling from OSM. So Maybe I need to figure out how to correct the source data with bike paths.
Or whatever algorithm they have that prefers 5 minutes on highway (70km/h) instead of 15 minutes of bike trails through woods needs fixing and is simply out of my control.
Thanks for the tips though!

@leroy @YurkshireLad @CoMaps Yes, CoMaps is built on OSM. You can do some basic editing in the app.
