you're a lawyer.
you run gcc without arguments.
it says:
"gcc: fatal error: no input files"
puzzled, you consult the dictionary.
fatal: causing death. leading to failure or disaster.
error: a mistake. the state or condition of being wrong in conduct or judgement.
is starting gcc without arguments equivalent to making a mistake, a wrong action that leads to deadly failure or disaster? did you just kill someone? did you commit a felony? now you are panicking. you turn off the pc.

@lritter this is already a bit #microfiction

@0xabad1dea @lritter @catsalad one of my earliest computers memories was playing a game on my Dad’s work issued Mac Classic when an error happened and it popped a dialog with a bomb icon on it. I was convinced I’d done something terrible and his very expensive computer was about to blow up.

@lritter Hey this is a world in which us computer geeks will happily talk about killing children, reaping zombies, and terminating rogue processes. What's a little mistaken murder compared to that?!
