@ayo @elk I love Elk, it’s my main Mastodon client on desktop and iOS (installed on Home Screen as a PWA). I use it daily. It’s so much easier on the eyes, more readable, than the default client, any of the iOS apps I’ve tried, or Phanpy.

Edit to add: I don’t mean to throw shade at the other clients, I am thrilled there is a rich ecosystem of Mastodon clients for people to choose what works best for them.

@ayo @elk Switching back and forth between phanpy.social and elk.zone. I have noticed that the newer versions of elk have subjectively improved to the point where I slightly prefer using elk over phanpy for some reason I have difficulty articulating.

@ayo @elk Missing quote posts, advanced search and GIFs not autoplaying were some of the reasons I'm sticking – for now – with the "official" PWA after using Elk for some time. That said: still love the look and feel. Recommended it a lot.

@SharpCheddarGoblin @ayo @elk A lot of well crafted and thoughtful customization features, e.g. options to hide distracting elements like emojis in usernames, to rearrange elements in the bottom navigation, to change the colour scheme or font size. Overall more pleasant design.
