@The_Whore_of_Blahbylon I have to object. This rank bullshit ruined my life. It was very popular when I was a young child, and my father and uncle decided that these are the lessons I should be taught. "No future tripping," they'd say. "Empty your mind," they'd say. Except I was a fucking child. I was made to believe that there was no future and to think about it was bad, to want anything was bad, to make any kind of value judgment was bad.
FUCK THAT NOISE WITH PREJUDICE.

Many people who read the first edition never have seen the afterword written 10 years after the first publication.
It makes the story so much richer. Compels a rereading.
