@Rakai first step for me was to archive the website with https://web.archive.org

Second step … ? Maybe download the html files? This might only work if the website is not too complicated. Maybe search for "download website as single html file"

@jowodo ah yes, I also found some tutorials about downloading HTML from wix. Seems like only partial download possible. I will try during the weekend. Thanks for the archive advice!

Make sure you're logged into an archive.org account when you do the backup, and check every box on web.archive.org/save (except perhaps the "email me a copy" and "disable ad blocker" ones).

There also should be an option on Wix somewhere to download/backup your website (try looking for something like "Export Site" or similar within the website manager or your account settings).
