    So I made an extended version of my 'enlightenment poetry' translated into music. I felt that 8 minutes in that space wasn't long enough and I do feel it works much better as an hour. Although I feel a little silly now that I've been knocked out of peace literally right as I was uploading this video. I'm just glad it lasted long enough that I was able to complete this project.

    Weird how on that morning I woke up contemplating suicide, and by the end of the day I was in a totally different headspace. The body has some strange ways of keeping one alive. The whole process reminds me of that short story by Dostoevsky, "The Dream of a Ridiculous Man."

    It's not just the same 8 minutes on repeat, there's a larger overall form now. Frankly all I ever wanted was just to sit in the resonant bass but I conveyed the motion of thoughts gradually reducing in frequency of occurrence too. Like the lattice over the light slowly widening. It's more accurate to my experience anyway, I did not have a complete cessation of thought. Cloudy days still.

      @vesperys that's a nice place to be.

      Eyes at the edges, more concerned than concerning.

      There's a ladder in the harmonics, something to be sorted in the interludes.

      There's an urgency in its desire for you to understand

        @graeme Thank you for taking the time to listen and make such a thoughtful comment, it's gratifying to have my dissociative structures witnessed, even if (as your last sentence strikingly mirrors) the revelation that it's me who should be witnessing has eluded me for so long. The stairway to heaven may not be the impossible climb I thought it was after all.

          @vesperys the past is nothing more than a gameboard to be explored in search of the next move.

          You are not your constraints and there's always a move towards peace in play, thermodynamics requires it.

          Thank you for creating that place, I'd never been in it before. For a textured mind, the best gifts are ones never before explored. The reward for new connection does not depend upon medium.

          You have your path, it's in that place and it was beautiful

            @graeme Connection for me is... destabilising. I have to be careful. I'll pass on your compliments to the chef.

              @vesperys Forced connection is a pushed rope.

              A lantern was all I intended, and a thank you

                @graeme It might not have seemed so at the time, but the lamp metaphor has been really inspiring, subsequently. When I eventually publish some of my creative writing, it'll be more obvious why 🙂

                  @vesperys I found myself in need of one, while listening to the world you created.

                  I thought it kind to share.

                  I hope you will too, when you're ready.

                  A gift of disconnected connection. A nightingale for the dark
