@shapr silly question.. can one use the radios in plain old consumer devices to mesh network? could i have a LAN built out of my WPA2-enabled devices?

@redmp I think the mesh part is software. I have this vague idea that a Wi-Fi mesh might require multiple devices on each node. That is, I think there's some reason one Wi-Fi card can't connect to multiple access points at the same time. That might not be true though.

@shapr haha, i can't do anything now anyhow, but after my program ends i might pursue this

After 72 hours, here's the nodes I can reach from my #meshtastic solar powered node with the better antenna.
I can reach a node 72 km northeast of here!
