Three weeks ago I made a decision that finally broke the depression I've been struggling with for the last five years.

Every day this week I've gotten more done by noon than I used to struggle to get done in a full week.

I'm sure there will be bad days in the future, but the primary cause has been excised from my life.

@mckeay That's awesome to hear. If I may ask, was it a behavioral change that finally stuck, or some more interpersonal decision that isn't really my business (and obviously wouldn't help me).

'Cause I need some kind of daily swift kick in the pants myself.

@darthnull It was an interpersonal decision that won't really help you. Unless researching the relationship between covert narcissists and the neurospicy would help you.

@mckeay I had some issues with very unhealthy personalities about five years ago. I dealt with it by 1) discovering anti-anxiety meds, and 2) finding other avenues for my volunteer work (gradually leaving them behind).

It's worked out pretty well so far, though I'm sometimes a little over-sensitive when a situation feels like it's drifting in that direction...

But at the time, god, it was toxic.
