been pondering this Bluesky mess, and i think i found a reason for why Bluesky executives didn't want people to find out they took 100 million from Bain Capital:

so is this why they kept quiet? that the money was contingent upon them redefining public to include DMs?

@blogdiva DMs on Bluesky are not encrypted and, in fairness, they didn't pretend that it is secure and private at the get go.

@blogdiva And the worst part is that they verified ICE's account. That's as low as they can sink.

@blogdiva I closed my Blue Sky account about a year ago. Not happy about the direction it was heading. The Fediverse is my haap place!
