I’ve built an app to bring @TIBtv to the big screen. Note: this is specifically for TV, not for mobile.

we need apps for every OS that handle both #owncast and #peertube, not just a channel using one of those services. that's how we displace the eventual total dominance of YT.

the comparison is an app for a specific podcast instead of developing a podcatcher. there's a great app for @somafm which is an internet radio outlet with a bunch of stations, but afaict no great app for all icecast/shoutcast etc streams exists.
