@briellebouquet I mean, if my defeat has the side effect of getting people to casually fight injustice,

@YKantRachelRead if you're having revelations about not eating me maybe you could have an endgame epiphany and then it turns out you werent the real god all along, there was another hidden god named like, Chaos or Endbreath or World Sucker or something and you can help us in the true final fight? maybe?

@briellebouquet ooh, fuck yes! there can be a big long sequence where the actual end boss mortally wounds me and I go "NOOOOO WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME IVE BEEN SUCH A GOOD SERVANT" and then lend you all my remaining energy at the last minute. and the final cutscene shows that I've been convalescing in bed. of course I show up again in the sequel as a surprise party member, with the interim backstory indicating that I've reformed into a gruff antihero filled with regret

@YKantRachelRead absolutely perfect. for the end of the first game you can be like, this huge swirling mass of doom but in the second game when you're a party member, you can be a mostly human sized hottie with demonic flourishes, and also, you start at LVL1 with everyone else for some ridiculous ass reason

@briellebouquet okay, I'm not normally one for isekai-type fantasies, but this one I can get behind

@briellebouquet and there's also the bonus of having an enemies-to-reluctant-friends arc going on with a certain brielle in this hypothetical scenario

@YKantRachelRead yeah. im so excited for the scene where you try to betray me then regret it and feel terrible and alone, and i immediately forgive you and just want you to come back and then we hold each other and cry and we both learn what love really means and we rush into danger to save the world forever even though we both know it's a one way trip

or something like that, anyway. im open to suggestions
