    All forms of lit pov is good!! 1st person, 2nd person, 3rd person... Just because you can't enjoy one type doesn't mean that the form is bad- You just may have not liked the story or how it was written
    Or you have a preference
    Personally, I believe all can co-exist and are all extremely important and ALL can be written well by the right people

      I do realize that there's been an increase of 1st person books and that the main (usually woman) protagonist is usually written as blandly and self insert-y as possible, and that is why people are pushing back on the genre

      It is unfortunate, and it's unfortunately poorly written...

      Not the fault of the pov, it is the fault of a writer who doesn't understand How to use a *character*
