All forms of lit pov is good!! 1st person, 2nd person, 3rd person... Just because you can't enjoy one type doesn't mean that the form is bad- You just may have not liked the story or how it was written

Personally, I believe all can co-exist and are all extremely important and ALL can be written well by the right people -

Personally, I believe all can co-exist and are all extremely important and ALL can be written well by the right peopleI do realize that there's been an increase of 1st person books and that the main (usually woman) protagonist is usually written as blandly and self insert-y as possible, and that is why people are pushing back on the genre
It is unfortunate, and it's unfortunately poorly written...
Not the fault of the pov, it is the fault of a writer who doesn't understand How to use a *character*
