      On the upside the AI industry is working on making sure single computers cost at least $8,000 again.

        Maybe this price level could bring back the ideal of ownership of our devices which more or less lead the whole open source movement.

        The industry sure won't like it and will fight it, but they did the same at that time too and the ideal prevailed.
