    those docus came out when i was still contemplating if i wanted to be a mom. to this day, i say motherhood is my own human zoo & “Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom”.

    blame Desmond Morris for that.

      I think I scored an 90% in High School (1970s) Biology for a book report on The Naked Ape...opened some brain channels, for sure...

        I purchased The Naked Ape a few weeks ago, along with Ashley Montague’s The Natural Superiority of Women, with intent to reread. I had read these books when I was a kid, borrowed from my Mom’s collection. I finished Montague, it’s down at the neighborhood Little Free Library, just a small random act of subversion in our white Christian enclave. That’ll be Naked Ape’s destination.
