#Canada is leaning into #Europe to hedge against #US uncertainty but geography and trade still tether Canada to the US. The shift feels real in defense, but less so in economics at least for now.

We'll never cut the US out entirely, and that shouldn't be the goal, but over time (and it will be slow), Canada with get to a better place having learned tough lessons about how dependence and integration creates real risk.
